Harold Washington Library Center, Chicago Public Library - part 2

I still have more photos I took at the main Chicago Public Library location to share. Most of these are aesthetically pleasing elements, and I'll pass on commenting unless they have actual library utility.

This seems like a natural, particularly if your library circulates umbrellas as well.
If someone donates art to your library, you should probably display it somewhere, no matter how bad it is.
There is no evidence of book drops ever having been here -- but your patrons have long memories!
Quotes on library walls are popular these days. This is perhaps my favorite book-related quote ever; wish I'd gotten a less blurry pic of it.
Not only do they have a makerspace lab, but they have lots of display space for their makerspace users to display all their stuff.

When your library has multiple floors, it's a good idea to label your book carts for each floor.

It's also a good idea to have a hand sanitizer dispenser next to where you keep your book carts!

That's one fancy book press! It's on display only, I imagine, but I'd be tempted to use it whenever a book comes back with some warping on it...
