Harold Washington Library Center, Chicago Public Library - part 1

For a long time, I felt like it was cheating to show off this library; it's just so much bigger and fancier and Chicago-ier than the rest that it seemed like showing off. Well...I did take all those pics, might as well share them!

Now, one thing that was very hard to do was get a good shot of the building outside. It's very hard to back up away from these buildings in such narrow streets.

Real marble. You don't see that at your local library very often.
I was tempted to ask someone if the unpopular library was in the opposite direction, but I never did.

I'm guessing CDs still circulate well there. It's hard to believe CDs are becoming an obsolete technology, but they are still popular at some libraries.
