La Grange Public Library - part 1

After going to the La Grange Park Public Library and thinking I was going to be reviewing the La Grange  Public Library, it's only natural that eventually I would get around to the real La Grange Public Library. I like downtown locations, even if you can't quite see the library from main street.
Right inside the entrance is this display of upcoming programming. Oops, blurry pic -- don't strain trying to read it! I do think the upper left hand one about Nintendo Switch gaming is worth pointing out, though. The Switch seems to have real staying power, something Nintendo hasn't been able to do since the 3DS.
I love these wooden floors, even if the lobby does scream "bookstore!" because of them.
There are a lot of books on display in the front lobby, as you can see!
And here is a close-up of one of the thematic display shelves
You might be thirsty already after perusing all those books, so the coffee counter is also right up front (check out the selection in that vending machine).
Or, you might want to take this mysterious door, leading to the promise of more stuff on the lower level.
If there hadn't been so much natural light gushing through that window, this might have looked spooky.
But all is well when you get to the children's room at the bottom. As usual, the children's room was too busy for me to take many pictures of it, but I did manage this one showing off the ever-popular fish tank. I wonder how many libraries have fish tanks that aren't in their children's rooms...?
