La Grange Public Library - part 3

Nope, not done showing off La Grange's comic book collection yet! While other libraries are getting rid of their Essential books, La Grange still has at least two, including the rarely seen Essential Human Torch volume. Be ready, inter library loan librarians!
And speaking of rare, how is it that I see so few copies of Strangers In Paradise in libraries? I may not be its biggest fan (I actually prefer Motor Girl), but Terry Moore is a master storyteller and this belongs wherever comics for adults are shelved.
The history of the Joe Simon & Jack Kirby partnership is, in many ways, the history of comic books themselves. This was part of a series from Titan Books, with each volume sharing some of the bounty they produced for different genres, including ones they invented themselves!
If you remember me posting about Tintin recently before...you're right -- La Grange has so much Tintin, they have them in both children's and the adult collections. Because you can never have too much Tintin!
Subtle signage. Can you tell I'm near the fiction section?
Now, this I like. How many stairwells in your building have display cases in them?
I went back downstairs for another look around before leaving. There was a lounge area for the public that I couldn't snap because it was in use, so I peeked in one of these rooms and saw they had a green screen. So...filming room? I saw no other equipment. Maybe it's just for taking selfies...
