Chicago defends location of Obama library in federal court

Associated Press

"The city of Chicago made its first full-throated response this week to a lawsuit seeking to stop construction of the Obama Presidential Center, saying the buildings would sit on land that wasn't subject to restrictive public-trust laws..."

I'm torn on this. On one hand, I hate to see good park land go to waste; I'd rather see old, slummy buildings in Chicago being torn down and have this put up in their stead.

But I do want to see this happen; I've never been to a Presidential Library and this would definitely be the easiest one to get to.
