Camden County Establishes First Tool Library In New Jersey

"CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) — Tackling projects around the house or getting ahold of hard-to-find tools is even easier as Camden County announces a tool library for their residents..."

I know libraries in this area are looking into creating more realia collections, but I've heard of none as large as the one in the article, that boasts more than 800 tools.
I'm not sure what to make of this. The argument for books not hurting book store sales was always that people will try the book from the library, fall in love with it, and then will want to own a copy. But do people fall in love with power tools? Maybe some people do. I would be interested in hearing what hardware store owners in the area have to say.
