I was tempted to take more pics of just those amazing dioramas, but opted instead for focusing on other content -- like this surprisingly large collection of Chilton manuals, going back to 1960s models (for the car collectors in town, no doubt).
Loved seeing the OED again so soon.
I couldn't get a good picture that really showed you how well-organized the genealogy drawers were. Each envelope contains a family history.
In this pull out map drawer were old local newspapers, or facsimiles of old local newspapers. I had started a similar project at my last library, but without such a wide drawer to work with, I was forced to fold them in half and stuff them into hanging folders.
This plaque shows just how new their library is...
...and yet, in the span of 28 years, the library has apparently outgrown that space and needed this annex building built behind it. The annex serves as the library's meeting room space. There is a small building between the annex and the main library that looked to be a conservatory, but it was time to head back out on the road and I didn't get a photo of it.
