Bartlett Public Library revisited

For whatever reason, when I first reviewed the Bartlett Public Library, I neglected to talk about how they solved their Children's Department issue. Their problem was, Children's, on the upper level, was only accessible by a set of stairs and an elevator, both with limited visibility. So, rather than just put a sign or plaque next to the elevator, they commissioned someone to paint this remarkably engaging mural. You can't miss that elevator now!
When I was at Poplar Creek Public Library, and my department was in the lower level between the Infocommons and Children's, I often encountered parents on the public computers with very bored infants or young children who noisily let everyone know how bored they were. Often, if I had the time, I would run down into Children's and bring something back to engage the children.

Bartlett Public Library did me one better, having a box full of distractions right in the computer lab at all times.
