College of DuPage Library - part 2

The
view out the back window of the library.

The graphic novel section was right up near the front (yah!) and, while much of it was newer material, there was this great book on Basil Wolverton that I was excited to see for the first time.

Also on the ground floor, an attempt to engage with its patrons via a message board. The first time I walked past this, there were hash marks on each side, suggesting patrons had been making gentlemen's wagers as to who would win, but this was erased before I came back to take the picture.

The upstairs was equally spacious, but with a greater diversity of seating choices, which all looked pretty comfortable. The design looks both bold, yet somehow traditional, at the same time.

There were several cases around the library displaying student art, always a good way to make people feel a connection to library space.

And lastly, very space-economic trash/recycling cans!
