These are the last of my photos from MPPL.
It had just recently come up at my current library that some of us still wished we had an atlas case. Well, MPPL has a tall one!
I've been a little critical of the signage at MPPL, up to this point, but I am -- ahem -- tickled pink by this little sign that reminds patrons not to leave their stuff unattended. Even better, I like that little plug-in box on the study desk. I didn't think to check when I was there; next time I will look to see if they are somehow wireless or if the plug-in cord is just cleverly concealed in a hole under the box.
Reference and Government Documents, living on the same shelves together in peace and harmony! I always love seeing a robust reference collection...
...but there sure is room for more! This makes me so mad, when libraries over-weed their reference sections or their government documents sections, claiming they need the space, and then just leave aisles of empty shelves in their place! Here's an important tip about library patrons: they come to see books, not empty shelves.
But I will end on a positive note. In one area, when you look up at the ceiling, you are greeted by this fun kite display way up above!
