Sherlock Holmes: The Red Tower

Guest reviewer time again! Since I haven't started anything new since last week, this is my mother's newest read -- which really surprised me. I'm the one who's read all the original Sherlock Holmes stories; she's only watched all the Jeremy Brett TV series (as excellent as that was!). 

As for modern efforts at creating new Holmes stories, I haven't read a great one since Sherlock Holmes and the Red Demon. Will this book stack up?

Mom says yes. It starts out very strong and is just like a Holmes story. Even at just 285 pages, she felt it dragged a bit in the third quarter, but it bounces back for a surprise twist ending.

Well...that sounds encouraging enough for me!
