Bloomingdale Public Library: Halloween Edition

Although I've been back to the Bloomingdale Public Library quite a lot lately to use their scanners, what prompted me to post more about it was this delightfully creative addition to the book return slot. Ooo, spooky!
And then, as a bonus, I happened perusing the periodicals section this last time, and I noticed some familiar titles on the freebie shelves. I used to order these for my library!

Gardeners Corner is a nice newsletter from the University of Illinois Extension.
Illinois Official Highway Maps were awful hard to get during the budget impasse! I bet Bloomingdale PL had an easier time ordering these now. And even in a smartphone age, having a paper map is super-useful!
I may not like how inefficiently the DuPage County Forest Preserve District allocates its budget, but I cannot deny that they have great forest preserves and produce quality material, like this frequently updated Visitors Guide. Too bad there's no free copies of their magazine, The Conservationist.
