Government documents at Bloomingdale Public Library

A library with such a rich local history archive as Bloomingdale Public Library has was bound to possess a lot of government documents, but even I was impressed when I searched their catalog! It includes:

The 2016 Illinois Compiled Statutes,

Journal of the Illinois State Historical Society, going back to 1998,

Illinois Heritage, going back to 2000,

The current Illinois Blue Book,

The 1998 Constitution study guide of the State of Illinois and United States,

Record of the Services of Illinois Soldiers in the Black Hawk War 1831-32 and in the Mexican War 1846-8,

I love everything from the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources. This is a field trip pack. From their website: "The Field Trip Pack contains many items to assist your early childhood students as they explore nature. Hands-on equipment will encourage self-initiated learning. Ideas for incorporating natural-resources activities into your lessons are also included. Suggested grades: preK - 3."

There's the Du Page County, a descriptive and historical guide, 1831-1839

This is actually a federal document, published by the Writers' Program of the Work Projects Administration in the State of Illinois, in 1948.

And this is a federal government document too, from the U.S. Postal Service!
