Bartlett Public Library

It was not a fun day to be out on the road, but at least it was dry in the Bartlett Public Library!

The Bartlett Library has outdoor courts on both sides of the building that normally look like fun to sit and read in, but not when it's pouring raining outside. So instead I took an indoor picture of my favorite part of the library:

No, it's not how spacious the main hallway is!  And it's not because of the excellent overhead signage around the building (sorry if you can't read it through the glare). It's that Bartlett has, not one, but two express terminals for fast Internet searches. Many a time I've been driving through Bartlett, needed to look up something, and stopped there to use one of these.  Even in an age of smartphones, sometimes you just don't feel like trying to press tiny spaces on a small screen.

In addition, Bartlett still has an excellent music CD collection -- all the more important as other libraries heavily weeding theirs.
